Balaton Spin

Day 1: Balatonfüred

​

Many sights and programs welcome the visitors in the capital city of Balaton. The most common words in connection of this city are history, culture, water, fun and hospitality. The beach is only a 5 min. walk! Hop on the small train which takes you around the city to find the best ice cream place later.

Day 2: Balatonfüred-Badacsony (59 Km)

​

This day we will follow the bicycle road which goes along the coast. We can stop for a bath almost everywhere. A cold beer or ice cream helps to push the pedals and get closer to Badacsony, the Hungarian Tuscany. The whole day is about the cycling, sunsine and the lake. The hotel is located at the feet of the oldest wine region of Hungary so the excellent wines are guaranteed.

Day 3: Badacsony-Hévíz (36 km)

​

After the start in the morning the next stop is Szigliget, the pearl of the lake with a 250 years old winemuseum and a medieval fortress. On this day you will reach the end of the north shore but before it you have to visit the famous castle of Keszthely. Bulit in baroque style and owned by th Festetics nobel family before the WWI. Continue the tour to the largest natural thermal lake in Europe in Hévíz where your hotel will be.

Day 4: Hévíz-Balatonfenyves (34 km)

​

The south side of the Lake Balaton is totally flat and all you have to do to follow the built bike road trough the quiet villages and small towns. The lake will be always on your left hand side with many opportunities for a swim or a cold beer. The view of the north shore is amazing. Your hotel in Balatonfenyves has cozy athmosphere and great kitchen, not to mention the wellness.

Day 5: Balatonfenyves-Balatonföldvár (40 km)

​

We can call this day the panorama ride. All the way to Balatonföldvár the mountains of the Balaton Uplands will amaze you. There are so many free beaches to rest, that you will feel yourselves in the water all the time. It is an easy flat ride to the charming small town of Balatonföldvár. We call this day the beer ride. There is no rush, just the road and the lake and you.

Day 6: Balatonföldvár-Balatonkenese (39 km)

​

We leave behind Balatonföldvár on the bicycle road. The highlight for today comes now. Shortly we find ourselves on the top of the lake. This is the so called high coast which is 200 m above the sea level. Simply beautiful. You can look back and see where you came from. We continue our journey along the lake trough Balatonakarattya towards the small city of Balatonkenese.

Day 7: Balatonkenese-Balatonfüred (34 km)

​

Today we cycle along the shoreline on the bicycle path again. We ride trough charming villages and small towns which has been populated since the roman times. During this trip Balaton shows all of its beauty. If you would like to have a break nice beaches wait for you in Alsóőrs and Balatonalmádi. You can stop for a slide at the biggest summer bob-track and adventure park in Balatonfűzfő. The last day is one of the most beautiful towards Balatonfüred.
