1st day: Veszprém          

Our first day starts in Veszprém, the City of Queens. The accommodation is in a relaxing place nearby the Castle and the Old Town. After a refreshing shower take your camera and discover the Saint Michael Chapel which is famous because our first queen Gisel and every other Hungarian queen were crowned there. Enjoy the historic places and the unique atmosphere of Veszprém and discover this lovely town before the first sporty day. Diner will be at Oliva Restaurant which is among the best 100 countryside restaurants in Hungary.

2nd day: Veszprém - Balatonfüred        

(39 km biking & 8 km kayaking)

After the square breakfast take the full equipped bicycles and start the trip in direction of the lake Balaton. This day is a special one because this is the first meeting with the idyllic landscape, the charming villages and the lake. Until Balatonalmádi we use the built bicycle road. We will have lunch here at a fisherman’s place. Our friend Joseph will prepare for us some unique Hungarian dish, made on opened fire in our traditional pot, the bogrács. He is a retired fireman but won many cooking competition around the lake. After it we change for the kayaks. From the lake we will see everywhere grape fields which were planted in the Roman times. The distance will be not too long but enough to feel the spirit of the Lake Balaton. The wine and vital hotel stand still in Balatonfüred the capital of lake Balaton. The most common words in connection of this city are history, culture, wine, and hospitality. Dinner will be at a small bistro with a fusion kitchen mixing the traditional taste with the modern technology. Real gastro experience!

3rd day: Balatonfüred-Tihany Peninsula                                                

(20 km biking & 6 km hiking)

The Tihany Peninsula and its Benedict Abbey is the part of the UNESCO World Heritage. This day we will guide you and tel you about Hungarian history and Hungary as much we can. This day is amazing! Built bike road all the way. The hiking route will take us to the western edge of the peninsula. The view is spectacular from there. After the hiking we will have an another special picnic lunch with Joseph. Tonight dinner and Wine tasting at Koczor Winery.

4th day Balatonfüred-Szentantalfa                                                                                                           

(43 km biking)

We will bike a bit to Fövenyes on the built bike road. Here we will turn to the hillside to Skrabski Winery where we will have our lunch and wine-tasting. Lunch is presented by Joseph who will make us feel like at a Christmas table. Delicious home made Hungarian food which you can’t have at any restaurant. After the lunch we continue on bike to the Nivegy valley. During the hike there is an amazing view to the lake. You will ask for more even after we reached our B&B on the top of the Saint Balázs mountain. Dinner will be made in an outside oven for 5-6 hours. You can imagine the taste of that knuckle of ham and the vegetables cooked together for that long 😊 and not forget this place is an operating winery!

5th day Szentantalfa-Badacsony                                                                                                                             

(26 km or 51 biking & 6 km kayaking)

We roll down to the lake at Zánka by bike. We change for the kayaks and start the 20 km journey on the water. This is as cool as it can be. Beaches, cold beer, fine food and sunshine. Spectacular view to the north-shore of the lake. Our destination is the 1000 years old wine region, Badacsony. The hotel will be few hundreds meter from the beach. Dinner will be a real experience again, not to mention the wines you find nowhere else in the world.

6th day: Badacsony-Szigliget                                          

(24 km or 40 km biking & 4 km hiking)

We roll across the land of extinct volcanos, the so called witnessing mountains which are in the heart of the Balaton Uplands National Park.We use this day hidden roads which go trough charming little villages like Szigliget, Hegymagas and Nemesgulács. Lunch & wine tasting at the excellent St. Antal Wine cellar. After lunch we climb up to the 800 years old castle and look over the so called Hungarian Tuscany. Biking back Badacsony is one of our favourite route. Quiet and surrounded with the 7 volcano. Dinner at a special winery with a superb dinner with a lot of wine 😊

7th day: Badacsony-Budapest

Budapest underground sightseeing.

8th Day

The tour ends unfortunately. After breakfast the bus picks you up and take you to the airport. Have a safe flight and thanks for visiting us!
